Tour an old school room, set up in the one-room Potter-Watson cabin, built in 1852 by a man who tamed wild horses.

See one of four Historical Markers, including the Butler Church Bell, thought to have been recovered in the Trinity River following a steamboat accident in 1873.

Did you know the original G.I. Joe came from Fairfield, Texas?  Learn the history of Riley Tidwell, and how he helped to inspire a nation.

Get a close look at the oldest cabin in the county, the 1845 dogtrot-style Carter cabin.  Always a favorite, the north room includes a loft for the children’s bedroom.

The antique telephone collection, donated by Contel in 1991, includes some unique pieces.

Visit the Freestone County Historical Museum, located at 302 E. Main Street in Fairfield, Texas.
